Community-Based
Effective solutions to problems in a community don’t come from an ivory tower, but from the experiences of people in communities around the country. Our research process starts by engaging practitioners and people served about prospective solutions, and cataloging each approach used by nonprofits around the country to solve a problem.

Not all community solutions are created equal. After we find approaches to community problems, we perform a comprehensive academic review of each approaches’ known effectiveness to ensure changemakers have the best knowledge of effective solutions.

Our research doesn’t sit on a shelf. We release our research in accessible, easy-to-understand formats for changemakers to learn from, share with their communities, and collaborate with other changemakers to implement that solution in their community.
